The Approval Voting Party (AVP) is a political party dedicated to implementing approval voting in the United States.

The Approval Voting Party is a recognized minor party in the state of Colorado.

Electoral history

2024 presidential election: the presidential candidate was Blake Huber and the vice-presidential candidate was Andrea Denault. The party had ballot access in the state of Colorado, where they received 2,134 votes, which is also their nationwide results.[2]

2020 presidential election: the presidential candidate was Blake Huber and the vice-presidential candidate was Frank Atwood. The party received 409 votes nationwide, including 355 in the state of Colorado. [3]

Research and advocacy

The Approval Voting Party conducted a voting method research on behalf of the Utah Association of Counties. [4] They compare Ranked Choice Voting to Approval Voting analysing important features and performance of both voting methods.
